Oláaa :))
With a Portuguese nationality and a heart divided between Porto and Berlin, I'm a Brand Designer with a background in Video/Cinema.
I'm a people person passionate about Cinema, Music, Photography, Books, Museums, and Art.
What are you doing here and tell us who you really are?
My functions in the studio translate into the best of both worlds. This is because, for the first time, I can combine and explore two professional sides in one.
As a Brand Designer with a background in Video/Cinema, I feel extremely encouraged, motivated, and inspired to uplift these two worlds and explore them as best I can.
How did you come to work with Hyperfocus?
I was lucky to follow the studio's excellent work through Paul on LinkedIn. I remember thinking with a Designer friend in Berlin how amazing it would be to work in such a place. When I applied, I never really believed it could happen with so many talents in the market. Today, I feel truly grateful and still processing the information!
Never stop believing 😉
What's your style?
Clean, Minimalist, Futuristic.
You working on anything big in the background?
Yes, since I know myself! 🙂 I always try to have projects that inspire me and are part of my external creative world. They always bring new possibilities and elevate me to another universe.
I'm currently collaborating with a friend on a Spanish brand of scarves. It's been an incredible experience!
I also have two personal projects on 'pause': one related to a family business that fascinates me greatly! And another one related to my passion for video. Projects that will be born in the near future.
What made you fall in love with design?
It was born from my passion for books and magazines when I was in Berlin for a year, which sparked an incredible interest and passion for the area.
Do you have any design heroes?
More than heroes, I would say masters, which help elevate my mind and creativity.
Would say: Bruno Munari, Ariane Spanier, Patrick Thomas, George Hardie, Stefan Sagmeister, Peter Mendelsund, Erik Spiekermann.
Also heavily inspired by: Experimental Jetset, Sophie Calle, Vivian Maier, Os Pixel, William Eggleston, Joel Meyerowitz, Henri Cartier Bresson, Thomas Struth, Saul Leiter…
Inspire a new generation of designers in one word?
Curiosity.
